Dr Caroline Roth is a Skin Cancer Doctor at The Skin Cancer Centre Coogee.
Dr Caroline Roth is a dedicated and compassionate skin cancer doctor with broad clinical experience across metropolitan, regional, and remote Australia. She is known for her warm, patient-centred approach and her strong interest in skin cancer medicine.
Caroline’s background in procedural general practice and obstetrics has provided her with a strong foundation of transferable surgical skills that translate well to skin cancer medicine. She enjoys procedural work and brings a meticulous attention to surgical technique, with a focus on safe care and achieving the best possible outcomes for her patients.
Caroline holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from James Cook University. She has completed advanced training in obstetrics and gynaecology and has worked as a GP obstetrician across hospitals in Queensland and Victoria.
She has completed the Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine through the Australasian College of Dermatologists and is currently undertaking further advanced training through the Skin Cancer College of Australia, with the aim of achieving Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor status in the near future. Caroline has experience performing comprehensive skin checks, skin biopsies, and the removal of suspicious skin lesions, and is committed to ongoing learning in this area.
Caroline values building strong therapeutic relationships and believes in shared decision-making, clear communication, and supporting patients to feel informed and comfortable throughout their care, particularly when attending for skin checks or procedures.
Outside of work, Caroline enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys improving her cooking skills, although she admits her fondness for the TV show Taskmaster can sometimes be a distraction in the kitchen.
Dr Caroline is available Tuesdays and Thursdays at The Skin Cancer Centre Coogee.
